Political Non-Bias

Oh, politics enrages us,
makes foes of you and me,
but write about the campaign here,
without your biases.

Post an entry about the campaign in a totally balanced, issues paper-esque way. Also, note my mighty slant rhyme. Bonus points of you know what slant rhyme is.

So far this presidential campaign has been pretty brutal. Both sides has shown poor sportsmenship. The Democratic and Republican parties have both riduculled thier opposing sides. However, the politicians are not the only ones poking fun at the candidates. The media has crossed the line on multiple occasions. Sarah Palin has probably gotten the worst of it all. After the production of the Sarah Palin porn movie, "Who's nailin Palin," she appeared on Saterday Night Live. Yes, the candidates have taken jabs at each other but the media has deffinatly pulled ahead.

Obama has shown some promising idea's as well as McCain. Nevertheless, both candidates have also shown flaws in thier "plans." This presidential campaign could possibly be one of the most contriversial elections we have seen yet.

At the begining of the presidential debate the polls were very close.Obama and McCain seemed as though they were in a virtual tie for the lead. Now the polls have Obama with a big lead with election day coming up. Each candidate has campigned throughout the country to pursuade Americans to vote for them. The choice for each of the vice-presidents have caused a big stir. Many Americans don't believe the Republican vice-president candidate, Sarah Palin, is fit for the job. However, many others feel the she is the best possible choice to take the position.

Both Obama and McCain have presented postive ideas that will help their campaign, but each have also had their faults. The differences in their beliefs and proposals will ultimately decide who becomes the forty-fourth president of the United States.

Barack Obama and John McCain. The two Presidential Candidates for the 2008 elections. Barack Obama is against the war and wants all troops to be home by 2010, while McCain is for the war and will stay there as long as needed. Senator McCain is the Republican candidate and Obama the democrat. Both candidates support the $700 billion dollar bailout package. Obama does not agree on a gas tax holiday while McCain does. Both Senators actually agree on the Bush-backed immigration reform legislation.

The presidential campaign has proven to be a harsh one as both try to claim the presidency. Both have great qualities that may lead this country to greatness but to some they both may lead this country to its ultimate downfall. Obama is charismatic and fact based and McCain has wisdom and a calm outlook. Both have fought hard and put up a good front, yet it is up for us the voters to decide

I like that Kirsten's entry takes a specific focus, the media's influence, and runs with that a bit. A few spelling errors.

The two major canidates for the Presidential Election of 2008 are John McCain and Barack Obama. John McCain, Republican, is running with Sarah Palin while Barack Obama, Democratic, is running with Joe Biden. Both McCain and Obama have are currently Senators for the United States, which makes this the first election to have two U.S. Senators running against each other for Presidency. Both McCain and Obama have positive and negative qualities about their campaign, which will ultimately be the deciding factor on who will win this election. Each canidate, if elected, will do the best to their ability to make our country a better place for all.

This President campaign is pretty intense. I personally want McCain to win but it isnt looking like the polls are going in my favor. I want McCain to win not because i love him or anything because personally i dont love any of them. I just am going for the person i feel is not going to skrew up our country any more because we honestly dont have any room for that at the moment.

As November 4th rapidly approaches, the only thing that is mostly on the American peoples mind is the presidential election. Many concerns swarm the Americans head about what is going to happen to America when either/or candidate is going to be sworn into office. Barracks willingness to “Change” American frightens many Americans because he does not state how he is going to change America; he states what he wants to do to change America. Many people are hesitant to vote for McCain because they feel like he is going to run the country like Bush did and many Americans are not happy with the performance of Bush. Each candidate has different morals and beliefs, but one similarity is that they are both fighting to make their country better.

A slant (aka: imperfect) rhyme is like almost rhyming, like having it spelled the same but not necessarily actually rhyming. (example: baker/player, how/row)

I'm obsessed with poetry....

The presidential campaign has become a game of bashing and finding faults on the other candidate it seems. Barack O'bama talks about John McCains age, while John McCain talks about the socialist beliefs of O'bama and also his muslim ties. They seem to be doing a good job thought at it because they are practically tied. O'bama though has a slight lead over McCain.

The presidential campaign of 2008 means nothing to me. I do not know the first thing about politics, and honeslty could care less. From what i've heard people saying, it sounds like either way this country will be doomed no matter which canidate wins. Both Barrack Obama and John Mccain have their strenghts and weaknesses so its going to be interesting to see the outcome of the 2008 presidentail election!

Like everyone above me has stated, the presidential campaign has been extremely vicious. Both candidates have been using their own air time during prime-time television shows just to bash the other person.

I'll be honest and state that I don't follow the race at any escessive extent. I have not watched any of the debates, I have done some research to ensure that I want to vote for McCain. Both candidates have totally different views on abortion, gay rights, and everything like that, but I don't think that is what makes a president. Everyone has opinions, doesn't mean all of us can be presidents. I don't know much about the campaigns.

When it comes to this election, and almost any other election we have had, I know just about as much as a six year old, if not less. Politics has never interested me much, so I don't go out of my way to learn more. Everything I know about the candidates comes from overheard conversations and family and friends trying to cram ideas into my head. I know that both candidates are nothing special, not that I could tell you why, but I guess we just need to figure out who is the least bad choice.

The presidential election of 2008 has been an election of mud slinging and promises. Both make many promises telling America there great plan to help us out of this economical sift we have been in. One on candidate, McCain, is old and more experienced with politics. He hopes to bring america back into its golden days. THe other canidate is a newcomer to politics. However he is promising change and that he will bring america into a ndew golden age.
Also this year we have some firsts. We have the first ever black presidential nominee, and we also have the first female vice president nominee. This is important because which ever party gets elected will be making history.

In all, this presidential campaign has been dirty, and it's hard to side with someone. They both have good plans for the country, but it seems as they are attacking each other more than finding ways to improve the economy. Obama and McCain will fight till the end until theres no more words and lies to spew. This should provide for an interesting week coming down to the election.

The 2008 presidential campaign, has been ridiculous. Both the Democratic and Republican parties seem more interested in pointing out each other faults, rather than focusing on what really matters. It really seems like at this point, no matter who wins, we all loose.

This upcoming election is a unique one. It is the first time that the United States has an African American presidential nominee and the first time a woman may be vice president. Will America vote judgmentally or vote solely on ideas and current plans? In our generation, diversity is common and racism has deceased dramatically. Will people look passed the differences in race, culture, religion between the two different nominees? These reasons may cause a change in the results of this election.

Both Obama and Mccain have many positive aspects as well as many flaws. It all comes down to how America decides to vote, what they base their reasons for voting on, and the differences in Mccain and Obama will set a close, yet interesting outcome of the 2008 election.
