As soon as we were instructed to start asking each other questions, Jessica was eager to give me her answers. Her brown eyes lit up and her entire face smiled.
She was very sure and knew that in the future she wanted to be an electrical/mechanical engineer. The hands-on and challenging work gives Jessica a feeling of accomplishment. "I know my work will benefit others and make the world a better place."
"Why LSU, Jessica?" She told me that it was family tradition and that she did not think to go anywhere else. This is where she always knew she would go. While at LSU she is taking an engineering class, english, math 1023, chemistry, and LSU 1001.
Jessica attended Saint Scholastica Academy in Covington, Louisiana where she was on the varsity cheer squad. Jessica's bubbly personality definitely shows that her hobbies are working out, partying, and just hanging out with her friends.
Ngoc grew up New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from John Ehret Highschool, in New Orleans. Ngoc wanted to come to LSU for a few reasons. "There are no New Orleans colleges that interest me," she said. Also Ngoc wanted to attend a college with a major football team. But, her main reason for coming to LSU is the well-known medical program.
Ngoc is majoring in Biological Sciences. She wants to work in pediactrics, because she loves kids and she would rather deal with children than adults. "Kids can't yell at you," she giggled.
She is currently enrolled in five classes at LSU. These classes include English 1001, Math 1021, Chemistry 1200 and 1201, and Intro to College Study.
When Ngoc is not at school she enjoys working as Abercrobie and Fitch, were she is involved in some casual modeling. She enjoys taking pictures and is very excited about her possible modeling contract. Ngoc also enjoys cooking. "I cook alot," she explained. She has a organized personality and enjoys cleaning and organizing.
After interviewing Ngoc I came to a few conclusions about her personality. She is not a big "out doors" type of girl, but she is outgoing. She is very perky and relaxed. These traits make Ngoc a very pleasant person.
Khalil sat with his back against the wall. When he gave me answers to the questions he always answered with a smile.
He told me that he wanted to be an architect for a living and was already well on his way. His dream is to take objects that seem ordinary and may contain little use, and make them into something worthwhile. At Central High he took an architect class and made plans for a whole house, which is something few can say they've done. At LSU he is majoring in mechanical engineering. On why he chose LSU he said that, "It's really the only college I wanted to go to since I've lived here my whole life. Also because LSU has one of the best engineering programs in the country."
Outside of school he can be seen as a normal guy who enjoys being with his friends and has a passion for video games. He seemed to have a passion for many things that he easily shared. He grinned the whole time as if he were talking to an old friend
