Standards of beauty
its a topic that relates to all of us and it has many subtopics.
>health issues... eatting disorders, tanning, plastic surgery
>models... are they getting too thin?
>guys... is that all they look for?
>cultures... how does beauty differ between different cultures?

Phsycological issues among youths
we are the youth and the health of our peers is important
>youths who suffer from depression... why are the numbers growing so much? What causes it among teenagers?
>Suicide... the suicide rates among youths has shot up, why?
>Selfmutilation... Why is this becoming more "popular?"
What is the community doing to aid these problems? (organizations)

CHINA! I think this country provides so much information to discuss. They are growing even larger in technology and production. Besides technology their government is also something interesting to talk about. Because China is so big the culture varies in different regions. All of this seems so interesting!

Alternative fuels

There are so many options open, so many different routes we could take. Biodesiel, Ethanol, LPG (liquified petroleum gas), and even used vegetable oil are all viable options of potentialy cheaper fuel sources.

i think we should write on the conflict in africa. i think its an interesting topic that ranges from several countries in africa such as uganda, somalia, and darfour. also the politics that goes into the regimes that control the areas and what they plan to do if anything to stop the violence and poverty. there are also several organizations such as invisible children that will help try to end the conflict.

I think we should write about the conflict in Africa. I don't know much about it know, but I would definielty like to learn more about it. It seems like there would be a variety of things to write about that everyone would also enjoy learning about. It would help us learn more about another country instead of something going on the the U.S.

I think it would be interesting to write about China. There would be a lot of sub-topics to discuss while still under the topic of China. China could unfortunately be the next world power. The difference in government and laws would be a good topic to write and learn about.

I think it would be interesting to write about CHINA, considering alomost everything we have in the U.S. comes from China. Also its so big that i think there would be alot of different information we could write about.

Genocide

This is an crucial topic that not many people know about. Genocide is defined as the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group. Tribes and countries has been tormented years, and many lives has been lost due to this repulsive act. I think it would really put a new perspective in everyone's eyes if they really saw the destruction that took place, the innocent lives lost, and the beauty of a nation destroyed.

I think teen pregnancy is a good topic because you may be able to write a lot about it. There are many issues concerning teen pregnancy, like girls dropping out of school, health complications, child support, the percentages of pregnant teens from twenty years ago to now, our generation, how young girls can have a child and are not ready for one, and a woman trying so hard to have a child is stopped by health complications, etc.

A second topic that is not on the list is horse racing. Not many people know about horse racing and the negative aspects of the sport. Some subtopics can be animal cruelty, gambling, malnutrition of the horses and jockeys, euthanize, and cultural differences and ideas about the sport.
